Continuing our monthlong strawberry obsession, author Naomi Hirahara will be at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown Los Angeles this Saturday, March 30, to discuss Strawberry Yellow in the context of her Japanese American background. They’ve done a great preview of the event over on Discover Nikkei. Naomi’s reminiscences of spending time eating frozen strawberries in her relative’s home near the central California strawberry fields have us dreaming of summer in Watsonville.
