Attention, Los Angeles parents! These days, your child’s future is starting sooner than ever. And no matter where you are in the process, there’s a ton of confusing, stressful decisions to be made. The Outstanding Mothers’ Gathering, a networking organization for working mothers, has put together a panel discussion of education experts, including our very own Judy Rothman, to help you tackle these formative years with a little guidance and commiseration at “Educating Your Child in Los Angeles” on September 12.

Judy Rothman is an Emmy award-winning screenwriter and the author of The Neurotic Parent’s Guide to College Admissions. As the parent of two recent college graduates, Rothman has braved the hazardous journey through the college admissions process twice now and documented the do’s and don’ts in her helpful and hilarious manual for the nail-biting parent. Her book originally sprang from her parental musings written on her blog, The Neurotic Parent, an online refuge for parents in need of funny stories, application snafus, and a little empathy while going through the college process with their children. Check out her column on Huffington Post here.

Other panelists include Dr. Fay Van Der Kar Levinson, PhD, Psychologist and author of “Secrets of School Success” and “Choosing The Right School For Your Child” and Sandy Eiges – LA School Scout (TM), among others.

“Educating Your Child in Los Angeles” will be held at the Olympic Collection on September 12, 2013. Tickets are $40.00, and you can RSVP at www.outstandingmothersgathering.com. Any suggestions for panel questions can be sent to info@outstandingmothersgathering.com, and more information can be found on OMG’s website.

Mark your calendar now and sleep a little better tonight.
