Little Flower One of Food52’s Best Cookbooks of 2012

Food52 announced today that Little Flower: Recipes from the Cafe by Christine Moore has been chosen as one of their 16 best cookbooks of 2012. The book will face off against other cookbooks in their Piglet Tournament of Cookbooks for the ultimate Piglet prize. Competition includes The Bouchon Bakery Book, Canal House Cooks Everyday, and The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook. This year’s judges include actor Stanley Tucci, Wylie Dufresne, chef and owner of wd~50, Melissa Clark, cookbook author and writer for The New York Times and Chris Ying, editor-in-chief of Lucky Peach.
Food52 is an online social food hub, started by the New York Times’ Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs. They started by creating the first crowd-sourced cookbook in 52 weeks and have grown the site into a flourishing community. Food52 was named the 2012 Publication of the Year by the James Beard Foundation.
