Due to the COVID crisis, intern applications are currently CLOSED

Are you good with words? A savvy Tweeter and blog-post writer? Super organized and love doing research? Not afraid of the words “metadata” and “spreadsheet”? Do your friends ask you to proofread their papers? Do you love books and want to learn about how publishing works? If you answered yes to the questions above, we’d like to talk to you.

Prospect Park Books is looking for smart, engaged interns to help us market, distribute, edit, and promote our books.

This internship is designed for current undergraduate students or recent graduates. It is an unpaid position that takes place onsite at our office in Altadena. Remote applications and applicants more than a year out of school will not be considered. We’re more than happy to deal with any paperwork you might need for getting school/class credit, so please let us know in your application if that is something you’re interested in.

We offer internships during the fall and winter/spring seasons, and will occasionally accept an intern during the summer.

How to Apply

If you’re interested, please send a short email and your resume to, and let us know if you’re especially keen to learn more about the editorial/administrative side or the marketing/PR side of publishing.

Decisions for fall applicants will be made in August. Decisions for winter/spring applicants will be made in December.

We also encourage you to read our story and learn a bit more about the team here at PPB before you apply—it’s a great way to see if we’d be a good fit for you (and vice-versa).

And if you’re looking for other literary outlets to apply to, check out our recommendations HERE.
