Big Orange Book Fest

Mark your calendars! The Big Orange Book Festival is happening next weekend, October 11-13, at Chapman University in Orange County—and four of Prospect Park Books’ very own will be appearing!

The festival’s highlights include literary panels, author events, film screenings, and exhibitors. See the full schedule here. The event is all-ages and parking is free. No tickets are required for the individual events but seating on a first-come, first-served basis so get there early!

Here’s the rundown of our appearances:


10 AM: Linda Lee Peterson, author of The Devil’s Interval and Edited to Death, will appear on the Thriller and Crime panel at Irvine Lecture Hall.

11 AM: Prospect Park Books publisher and founding partner Colleen Dunn Bates will speak at the Pathways to Publishing panel at Fish Interfaith Center.


10 AM: Who Wants Seconds? author  and chef Jennie Cook will do a healthy eating culinary demonstration at Argyros Forum 206.

12:30 PM: John Vorhaus, author of The Texas Twist, will talk TV writing at the Writing for and About TV panel at Argyros Forum 201.
