Last night (April 11th), we launched our new short-fiction anthology, Literary Pasadena, with a party at publisher Colleen Bates’s house in the Prospect Park neighborhood of Pasadena (yes, that’s where our name comes from). We had a gorgeous spread from Jennie Cook’s and a great turnout of the authors (20 of the 29, as best as we could tell), plus journalists, significant others, and friends of Prospect Park. The weather was perfect, allowing for a backyard hangout, and it was great to see old friends connecting and new friendships forming.
Here are some photos, starting with a group shot of as many authors as we could herd together for one shot. L to R: Denise Hamilton, Erica Zora Wrightson, Samantha Peale, Michelle Huneven, Cynthia Prochaska, Christopher Horton, Veronica Gonzalez Peña, Ron Koertge, Dennis Fulgoni, Larry Wilson, Jill Ganon, John Vorhaus, Naomi Hirahara, Katie Vane, Gary Phillips, Patty O’Sullivan, Petrea Burchard, Dianne Emley, Wally Rudolph, Rachel Harper, and Scott O’Connor. So much talent in a few square feet!
And a fabulous party it was. Thanks, Colleen, thanks all.
