Love for the Locals

As Southern California’s oldest and largest independent bookstore, Vroman’s is a staple in the Pasadena book community. Supporting authors, book lovers, families, gift seekers, and publishers, Vroman’s is one of our most essential and beloved partners.

Prospect Park Books has held multiple book launches at Vroman’s including Chris Erskine’s Daditude, Naomi Hirahara’s Hiroshima Boy, and Charles Pheonix’s Addicted to Americana.

Sweet shelves! Note the bestseller Daditude on the left. On the right, can you spotPaperback LA Book 1and100 Not So Famous Views of L.A?

Vroman’s CEO Allison Hill was recently featured in Pasadena Magazine in story written by PPB author Lian Dolan. You can also hear about Pasadena’s book community in Allison’s own words in her Tribe L.A. interview.

Look at these local stands! ( At Home:Pasadena, Tower of Pasadena, and 100 Not So Famous Views of L.A. are looking kind of familiar….)
Vroman’s always goes above and beyond in bookselling, never missing a chance to put the heart back into the business. In fact, every time you make a purchase
a portion of the proceeds goes to Pasadena-based charities through the Vroman’s Gives Back Program. Vroman’s Bookstore has donated $697,000 to worthwhile nonprofits.

In this month dedicated to celebrating love, we want to thank Vroman’s Bookstore for continuing to support us and always reminding us to live and love locally.
