The highly anticipated third volume of Paperback L.A. is now available! Come celebrate with us at our launch party on May 5th at Helm’s Design Center in Culver City. From 4-6 p.m. there will be readings from Ann Elliott Cutting, River Garza, Alexandra Hedison, Lou Mathews, Lisa See, R.J. Smith, and Rosanne Welch, as well as a book signing and refreshments. For more information about the launch, check out the event Facebook post by clicking here.
Plus, in preparation for the launch of Paperback L.A. 3, check out Susan LaTempa’s interview with Argonaut News. According to LaTempa, the Paperback L.A. anthology combats common clichés of Los Angeles with a more well-rounded conceptualization of the city. This anthology is filled with stories, both fiction and nonfiction, that paint a fuller picture of L.A. She says she hopes it will “expose readers to views of Los Angeles they haven’t considered before.”
You won’t want to miss this collection of works that Los Angeles Magazine called a “genius” mosaic of Los Angeles, and that Los Angeles Review of Books called “a comprehensive embrace of the city that has always resisted comprehension.”
