Is the corporate world getting you down? Why not add some classic Adam Walker Phillips satire to your life!

The Big Con, the latest addition to the Chuck Restic mystery series, is to be released in August 2018. A recent article in the Los Feliz Ledger describes The Big Con as a brilliant “corporate satire, plus a classic L.A. detective story.” The series follows Chuck Restic, a burnt out human resources guy turned part-time detective as he is thrown into murder case that becomes a little too personal. The Big Con has received advanced praise from Kirkus Reviews, Publisher’s Weekly, and Booklist, and has readers eagerly anticipating the third in the Chuck Restic mystery series!

If you’re local to the L.A. area, you can get a sneak peek of The Big Con and hear from Adam himself when he discusses and signs his Chuck Restic mysteries at the Glendale Public Library on Thursday, July 12th! He’ll also be sharing his experience as a mystery writer, and would love to see you there. Click here to learn more about the event!

When: Thursday, July 12th at 7:00 p.m.
When: Glendale Public Library
222 East Harvard Street
Glendale, California 91205

Can’t stand another month without knowing what our lovable HR detective is up to in The Big Con? You can find Chuck Restic on LinkedIn, where you’ll see he’s fluent in Gringo Spanish and Corporate Jargon. If you’re more of a Twitter person, Adam Walker Phillips always brings the laughs.

And,  while you’re there, don’t miss his appearance (and, in our opinion, a pretty great interview!) on the Writers Type Podcast.

Keep an eye out for The Big Con, hitting shelves later this summer on August 14th! For more information about the book, click HERE.

Also, thanks to our intern Ellery McGregor for the great photos!
